Fashion Editorial: Girls & Boys Mashup

How much do I love Vogue Italia. This bad boy of a shoot is by Steven Meisel and drifts between rockabilly riders, punkarellas, rude boys, a Mick Jagger look-a-like and a few ruffles.

The thing I love most (besides its intensity, grit and use of safety pins + punk badges) was how faithful it feels to the era. It doesn’t feel like a 2016 fashion shoot, but more like pics from a misspent youth. A bit like my teen years…hehe.

Oh and the other thing I loved was the fact that they used vintage dresses, suspenders and jackets in the shoot, blended with Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Miu Miu, Prada, Roberto Cavalli and Vetements. The vintage pieces were sourced from Search & Destroy, an edgy and infamous New York shop packed with vintage punk-rock clothes and accessories (so my kinda shop!). Oh, oh and I also loved the way it moves from good to bad girl.

If you like your vintage style a bit tough and broken-in, you’ll be hooked by this nostalgic shoot. It’s too cool for school.
